Our Care Home is looking for an experienced and lively Activities Coordinator to join our team.

SCHEDULE: Full or Part time hours


Monday-Friday Full time 9.30-4.00 pm, 30 hours per week £12,698 (£8.14 per hour)

Saturday and Sunday - 9.30 AM until 4.00 PM, 12 hours per week £5,079


The Activities Coordinator will deliver a high level of physical, psychological and social care to all residents in a professional manner.

The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for planning and organising activities within the home and outside of the home, for all residents, at various times during the day. There will be times when additional hours may be required in order to facilitate outings and events.

The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for the organisation of fund raising events and the maintenance of financial records (verifiable by audits) relating to this.

The Activities Coordinator will set charging targets for outdoor activities and outings to ensure the basic costs are covered, and residents are making a contribution towards the transportation to events, if needed.

You will maintain good communication levels with all staff and relatives to ensure smooth operation of the role and high levels of co-operation.

You will support all areas of team working within the home, to the extent that the role remains an integral element of the daily routines.

You will ensure the recording and maintenance of crucial records relating to residents activities and preferences, answering enquiries from visitors, relatives, volunteers and any professional bodies associated with the provision of holistic and recreational care of the residents.

The Activities Coordinator will complete records where required to a satisfactory standard. Agree the type and quantity of record keeping with the Home Manager on a monthly basis.

You will ensure the individual rights of residents and staff are safeguarded in accordance with the Home’s philosophy of care by being aware of the working practices and activities being actioned.

Maintain client, staff and business confidentiality at all times.

Identify and ensure health and safety standards are met.
